The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Othman Jerandi , received today, Friday, August 5, 2022, at the ministry headquarters, the Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, Zhang Jianguo.

This meeting was to follow up the distinguished bilateral cooperation relations between the two sides and ways to develop and raise them to the best ranks.

The return of Tunisian students practicing their postgraduate studies in China to their universities occupied an important part for the meeting, as the Minister renewed his thanks to the Chinese side for the positive and constructive interaction to enable students to resume their studies.

the Tunisian Minister also expressed his aspiration to continue coordination between the two countries to expedite administrative procedures and consular transactions to secure the students return as soon as possible.

From his part, the Chinese Ambassador promised to facilitate procedures and coordination with the relevant universities.

The meeting was also an occasion in which the two sides discussed the existing cooperation projects between the two countries and the common desire to enhance them and implement the agreed investment projects as soon as possible.

The two sides also reviewed regional and international issues of common interest.
