The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tunisia, Wan LI, at the Ministry's headquarters on January 9, 2023.

This meeting was an occasion where the Minister discussed the Tunisian-Chinese friendship and cooperation relations, along with preparations for significant upcoming events. Notably, the official visit of the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, to Tunisia is scheduled for January 14, 15, and 16, 2024, coinciding with the celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tunisia and China.
