Tunisia Dispatches Food Aid to Palestine
A Tunisian military aircraft carrying 14 tonnes of food aid departed from El Aouina military airport in Tunis to El Arish International Airport in Egypt on Thursday.
This mission, ordered by Tunisian President Kais Saïed, aims to address the urgent food needs of the Palestinian people amidst ongoing war and blockade-induced hunger, according to Minister Adviser to the President, Mustapha Ferjani.
Ferjani, speaking to TAP, highlighted that this initiative was coordinated with Egyptian authorities and facilitated through the Tunisian embassy in Cairo. He confirmed that additional aid deliveries will follow in the coming days to further support the Palestinian people.
The purpose of this food aid is to mitigate the severe effects of the blockade on the Palestinian population. Tunisia remains committed to offering unwavering support to Palestinians in their struggle against war crimes and the devastation wrought by Israeli occupation forces, Ferjani emphasized.
Tunisia strongly condemns the violations and atrocities occurring in Gaza, with famine being one of the most tragic consequences, affecting infants, children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
