Tunisia, France: Signing of Four Financing Agreements
On the evening of Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Government Palace in Kasbah, four financing agreements were signed: two loans and two grants.
These agreements were signed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Feryal Al-Wargi Al-Sebai, the Director General of the National Sanitation Office, Abdul Majid Al-Tayeb, the Director General of the French Development Agency, Rémy Rioux, and the French Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Gueguen, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Salwa Al-Abbasi, the Minister of Environment, Leila Chikhaoui, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kamal Daqish.
During this ceremony, the following agreements were signed:
- First Agreement: A loan of 80 million euros, equivalent to approximately 268 million Tunisian dinars, allocated to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Second Agreement: A loan of 50 million euros, equivalent to 168 million Tunisian dinars, allocated to the "National Program for the Sanitation of Popular Neighborhoods."
- Third Agreement: A grant of 6 million euros, equivalent to approximately 20 million Tunisian dinars, directed to support projects in the fields of education and sports.
- Fourth Agreement: A grant of 1 million euros, equivalent to approximately 3.3 million Tunisian dinars, as technical support for the Popular Neighborhoods Sanitation Project.
