Tunisia will be the guest of honor at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for September 29-October 8, 2022.

An official delegation under the direction of the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs composed of book professionals, intellectuals and artists, will take part in the event.

The Tunisian participation "is aimed to promote cultural partnership between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia and foster bilateral diplomatic ties in various sectors," the Ministry pointed out in a press release on Monday.

The official delegation will be present with a varied program covering the novel, poetry and translation. The short story and the book in the digital era will be at the heart of the scheduled meetings.

Themes about theatre, cinema, music, women as well as tangible and intangible heritage will also be tackled.

The artistic aspect will be ensured by the Tunisian singer and artist Zied Gharsa and a group of musicians who will give a show of the Tunisian Malouf music.

The Union of Tunisian Publishers (UET in French) announced its participation in this fair by a delegation of 16 publishers.
