Tunisia, Hungary: discussing strengthening bilateral relations

The Tunisian President, Kais Saied welcomed, this morning at the Palace of Carthage, the Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó.

The two sides discussed strengthening the longstanding ties between Tunisia and Hungary since 1956, emphasizing shared values like freedom and national independence, stated the Tunisian Presidency.

Saied expressed Tunisia's commitment to furthering fruitful relations with Hungary, focusing on areas like renewable energy, food security, education, trade, and transportation.

He also reiterated Tunisia's firm condemnation of violations against Palestinians and called for collective action on irregular migration, emphasizing the need to address root causes, according to the same source.

The meeting underscores both countries' aspirations for a better future and their commitment to cooperation and partnership.
