The Tunisian Ministry of Interior -Mardi 16 Janvier 2024 - 18:38

Bilateral cooperation programs between the Ministries of Interior of Tunisia and Japan, and means to enhance them, were the focus of a meeting held on Tuesday between the Tunisian Interior Minister, Kamel Feki, and the Ambassador of Japan in Tunis, Takeshi Osuga.

Both sides underscored the development of relations between the two countries, particularly by granting Tunisia the opportunity to host the eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) in August 2022, as well as the third session of the Japan-Tunisia dialogue on security and counter-terrorism, held on December 5 and 6, 2023, stated the Tunisian Ministry of Interior.

Minister Feki emphasized the promptness of security units in preserving general security and social stability throughout the territory, especially in tourist areas, affirming Tunisia’s readiness to welcome Japanese tourists and businesspersons, added the Interior Ministry.
