
Tunisia, Japan: Discussing investments and legal frameworks
The Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Feriel Ouerghi Sebai, received the Japanese Ambassador to Tunisia, Takishi Osuga, yesterday, stated the Ministry.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially in the financial and technical fields (contributing to the financing of various projects in vital sectors such as energy, desalination of seawater, water resource management, dams, and supporting social protection programs), as well as work programs for the upcoming period, according to the same source.
Additionally, they discussed strengthening Japanese investments in Tunisia, particularly in promising sectors with high added value.
The importance of expediting the completion of the relevant legal framework was emphasized, including the double taxation agreement and the investment guarantee and protection agreement between the two countries, added the Ministry.
