A sectoral framework agreement on vocational training was signed today, Thursday, February 22, 2024, between Tunisia and Monaco at the end of the 4th session of the Joint Commission on Foreign Affairs, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad.

The agreement was signed by the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Nabil Ammar, and Monaco's Government Advisor - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro Amadei.

The two officials also agreed on the need to explore cooperation to achieve the climate goals of both countries within the framework of the mechanisms provided for in Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, according to the same source.

Cooperation in the field of taxation, in particular the avoidance of double taxation, as well as in the fields of youth, sport, culture and agriculture were also discussed.

Both Foreign Ministers welcomed the positive outcome of the bilateral cooperation relations established in 1993.

In this context, they expressed their shared willingness to develop relations of friendship and cooperation between the people of Tunisia and Monaco.

For his part, Nabil Ammar stressed the need to combat the negative effects of climate change and to improve employment opportunities, particularly for young people, who are an important factor for economic stability and growth, added the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

Isabelle Berro Amadei said that cooperation between Tunisia and Monaco is currently focused on three priority areas: health, education and child protection, and access to decent work.

In line with Tunisia's priorities, bilateral cooperation focuses on combating early school leaving, access to employment and entrepreneurship for women and young people, she added.
