On Monday, January 16, 2023, the Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Mrs. Nayla Gonji, participated in the official opening of the “Abu Dhabi Sustainability week” in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, which is held under the supervision of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, in the presence of an important number of heads of states, heads of governments and ministers of energy.

Mrs. Gonji met with a number of her counterparts, and yesterday evening she held a bilateral working session with the Emirati Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al-Mazrouei, where the two sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of energy and renewable energies.

The two ministers agreed to establish a framework for technical cooperation that would enable the exchange of experiences between the two countries, especially in the field of electricity, whether in the field of developing networks, producing electricity from renewable energies, or producing green hydrogen. They also appreciated the level of trade relations between the two countries in the field of sulfur and other fields of cooperation.

The "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week" is a global event launched by the UAE since 2008 and is organized from January 14 to 19 under the slogan "Together to promote climate action".
