
Tunisia, Qatar: agreement to scale up bilateral economic cooperation
During his meeting with the Head of the Tunisian Government, Mrs. Najla Bouden Ramadan yesterday, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Qatar Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani reiterated his country's willingness to scale up the economic cooperation relations with Tunisia.
A set of regional and international issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting, according to a statement by the government.
For her part, the Head of Government affirmed Tunisia's willingness to ensure the resumption of the investment projects' achievement pace, notably those under Tunisia's vision for 2035.
She pointed out that Tunisia seeks to ensure the participation of Qatar in funding these projects through its investment mechanisms, notably in the renewable energy, tourism and medicine sectors.
Besides, she expressed her consideration to the Qatari authorities for their continuous support to Tunisians living in this country, reiterating Tunisia's willingness to further bolster bilateral technical cooperation.
