
Tunisia, Qatar: Discussing Social Cooperation in the Margins of COSP16
Strengthening cooperation between Tunisia and Qatar in the social field was the focus of a meeting held yesterday, Thursday, in New York between the Tunisian Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi and the Qatari Minister for Social Development and Family Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad.
The meeting held in the margins of the 16th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP16) in New York, shed light on cooperation in the fields of special education and disability.
The Tunisian Minister reviewed the main activities of the International Center for the Advancement of People with Disabilities and the various special education centers in Tunisia for people with disabilities.
He extended the invitation to the Qatari Minister to visit this center to find out about the services provided for people with disabilities.
The Qatari minister voiced her hope to see Tunisia and Qatar sign a partnership agreement in the social field and for the care of people with disabilities.
