Tunisia re-elected as ITU Council member

Tunisia was re-elected as member of the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for the years 2023-2026, by a majority of votes (133 out of 180).

The voting took place on Monday, October 3, 2022, during the Plenipotentiary Conference of the ITU, which is currently taking place in Bucharest, Romania.

Tunisia is therefore one of the 48 member states that will constitute the next ITU Council.

The Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Ben Neji, who leads the Tunisian delegation in the Conference, presented the national strategy to promote the digital field and prospects for strengthening cooperation with the ITU and its member states.
