Tunisia reinforced its diplomatic staff in Damascus
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated on Sunday, February 12, 2023, that it has increased the number of diplomatic staff in Damascus (Syria) with a diplomat from the Tunisian Embassy in Beirut (Lebanon).
The decision is part of monitoring the situation of Tunisian nationals in Syria, following the earthquake which hit several parts of that country.
"It also aims to provide all the necessary assistance to Tunisian citizens residing in the regions hit by the earthquake and facilitate their repatriation, if necessary," the Ministry added.
