
Tunisia, South Korea: Discussing ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Nabil Ammar, received today, the Representative of the South Korean Government and Executive Director of the Korean African Summit, JUNG KIHONG, who is visiting our country on 24 and 25 March 2024.
The meeting was an occasion during which the Tunisian Minister praised the distinct level of relations between Tunisia and the Republic of Korea and the concrete nature of the cooperation programs, which are consistent with Tunisian priorities, in particular investment and governance, emphasizing Tunisia's desire to further develop and diversify them, both bilaterally and triangularly (Korea-Tunisia-Africa).
He also stressed the importance of the multilateral cooperation and the development of win-win partnerships, like the Korean-African Partnership, and expressed the willingness of Tunisia to contribute actively to these frameworks and to benefit from their mechanisms, added the Ministry.
For his part, Jung Kihong commended the strong historical relations between the Republic of Korea and Tunisia and reiterated his Government's commitment to continue supporting cooperation with Tunisia, particularly in priority areas of development, expressing his country’s expectation to see Tunisia participating with the highest level in the Korea-Africa Summit to be held in Seoul, on 4 and 5 June 2024, according to the same source.
