
Tunisia, Spain: enhancing investment and partnership
Today morning, July 28, 2022, the Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Saied, met with the Spanish Ambassador to Tunisia, Guillermo Ardizone, at the ministry headquarters.
This meeting was an occasion to discuss the progress of bilateral cooperation, especially at the level of investment and financial cooperation.
The two sides emphasized the role of the private sector in exploring and exploiting investment opportunities available in Tunisia and building fruitful partnerships to serve the common interest, especially in promising sectors such as the food industries, information and communication technology, pharmaceutical industry, renewable energies, tourism and others.
The progress of financial cooperation between the two countries was also discussed.
During the meeting, the Tunisian Minister presented the government's reform programs aimed at raising the pace of growth and enhancing the resilience of the national economy, in light of the current global crises, especially the Covid crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
From his part, the Spanish Ambassador affirmed the readiness of the Spanish government to continue supporting Tunisia, whether at the bilateral level or within the framework of the European Union, in order to help it achieve a sustainable economic transition.
