The Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fishing stated that the Minister Abdel Moneem Belaati, received today, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tunisia, Josef Philipp Renggli.

The meeting focused on strengthening Tunisian-Swiss cooperation in the agricultural field, especially in light of climate changes that have directly affected food and water security.

In this context, the Tunisian Minister presented the challenges facing the agricultural sector, and stressed the necessity of raising the level of trade exchanges related to agricultural products, especially olive oil exports.

For his part, the Swiss Ambassador affirmed that his country will work to advance bilateral cooperation in a way that responds to the aspirations and priorities of the Tunisian side to confront the climate change and continue discussions to improve the level of exchanges of agricultural products between the two countries, added the Ministry.
