Tunisia to host the military exercise "African Lion 2024" on April 24
The Tunisian armed forces are set to engage once again in the annual Tunisian-US joint military exercise "African Lion 2024," scheduled for April 24, marking the fourth consecutive year of participation.
This collaborative effort, orchestrated with the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), will also feature military observers from allied nations, as announced by the Tunisian Defense Ministry.
The exercise will see the involvement of military units from all three branches of the armed forces, along with personnel from the General Directorate of Military Health. Through a series of field exercises, the aim is to enhance the Tunisian army's capabilities in addressing cross-border emergencies and threats.
Additionally, the agenda includes theoretical sessions covering various subjects such as military engineering, cyber security, legal matters, and information and communication technology (ICT), as highlighted by the Defense Ministry.
