The Tunisian Minister of National Defense, Imed Memmish, received on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the ministry’s headquarters, the new ambassador of the United States of America in Tunisia, Joey Hood.

The Tunisian Minister highly highlighted the historical relations binding the two friendly countries as well as the level of cooperation achieved by the two parties.

He called for its further promotion for the benefit of both parties, within the framework of mutual trust and respect.

For his part, the U.S. ambassador reaffirmed the commitment to continue to promote bilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of the long-standing military partnership between his country and Tunisia and its key role in establishing stability and security in the region.
