The Tunisian Ministry of Interior stated that the Minister Kamel Feki received yesterday, Wednesday, at the ministry's headquarters, the US Ambassador to Tunisia, Joey Hood.

This meeting was an occasion to review the relations of close partnership between the two parties and the means to strengthen them in the various fields of bilateral cooperation, notably in the fight against terrorism, organized crime and irregular migration, the ministry added.

The two sides also examined the progress of the completion of joint projects underway.

For his part, the American Ambassador reiterated his condolences to the families of the victims of the criminal act that took place on the island of Djerba on May 9, and praised the promptness of the Tunisian security units in their rapid and effective response to the perpetrator and the protection of Tunisia's guests.
