
Tunisian and Algerian Interior Ministers Strengthen Security Cooperation
Security cooperation between the Tunisian and Algerian Ministries of the Interior was a central topic at a meeting on Tuesday in Algiers.
The discussions, led by Tunisian Interior Minister Khaled Nouri and Algerian Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning Brahim Merad, focused on countering terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking networks, irregular migration, and enhancing border security.
According to a press release from the Tunisian Interior Ministry on Monday evening, the ministers addressed issues related to facilitating the movement of people between the two countries at border crossings.
They also explored ways to establish cooperation frameworks for border police and the development of border regions.
The two ministers reaffirmed their determination to further strengthen bilateral relations in these areas.
