Tunisian and Iraqi Prime Ministers Lead Joint Session

On August 28, 2024, Tunisian Head of Government, Kamel Medouri, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani led a joint session on Wednesday, in Tunis, focusing on strengthening ties between the two nations.

The meeting highlighted the deep historical connections and the commitment to enhance cooperation in various fields, including tourism, energy, and education, stated the Tunisian Government.

Medouri expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in bilateral relations, particularly after the May 2024 Joint Committee session in Baghdad.

Al Sudani emphasized the potential for new opportunities in manufacturing and banking, urging stronger business connections between the two countries.

Both leaders agreed to implement the meeting's outcomes ahead of the next Joint Committee session in early 2025.
