Tunisian FM and his Lebanese Counterpart discuss situation in Gaza

On the occasion of his participation in the work of the extraordinary meeting of the open-ended Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Jeddah on October 18, 2023,

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Nabil Ammar held a bilateral meeting with the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Abdullah Bou Habib, which was on the occasion of his participation in the work of the extraordinary meeting of the open-ended Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Jeddah yesterday, October 18, 2023.

The two Ministers discussed developments on occupied territories, especially the continuation of the crimes of genocide, siege, and forced displacement of the residents of the Gaza Strip.

They stressed the importance of coordination to move and exert efforts and endeavors among the various international actors in order to force the occupation forces to stop their blatant aggression and secure protection and the basic and urgent humanitarian needs to the Palestinians.

The two sides held the occupation authorities fully responsible for what the situation in the region might lead to in light of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and its repeated attacks on Lebanese lands.
