Tunisian FM calls for halting violations against Palestinians

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Nabil Ammar participated on September 20, 2023, in the high-level meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) for Coordination of International Assistance to the Palestinian People, chaired by the Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister, on the margin of the high-level segment of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the interactive discussions, the Minister stressed the need to force the occupation authorities to stop their daily violations targeting Palestinian civilians, in violation of all international conventions and human rights principles.

The Tunisian Minister explained that the international references for a just, lasting and comprehensive solution exist and are known to all, stressing the need for political will to activate the solution in accordance with these references, stated the ministry.

He also called for intensifying the efforts of the international community to address the main cause of the Palestinian people suffering, namely the continuing occupation of their lands for decades.
