The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, met with his Algerian Counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, yesterday, Monday, in Algiers.

During this meeting, the Tunisian Minister stressed the importance of strengthening communication and exchanges of views between African and Northern European countries on issues related to development, security and peace on the African continent.

The two ministers reviewed the latest developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, in particular the aggression by the Israeli entity on the Gaza Strip, stated the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

They also stressed the need to intensify efforts to stop this aggression, which affects both civilians and children, and the need for the international community to confront the attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people and dispossessing them of their land.

Nabil Ammar began a two-day visit to the Algerian capital on Monday, during which he is heading the Tunisian delegation participating in the 20th Meeting of the Nordic-African Foreign Ministers (NAFM).

This meeting is a high-level interactive political platform that brings together foreign ministers from a number of African countries with their Nordic counterparts to discuss a number of regional and continental issues of interest.
