Tunisian FM met with His Iranian Counterpart in Geneva

On the occasion of his working visit to Geneva from December 11 to 14, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, met todzy, Wednesday, with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on 12 December 2023.

During the meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction with bilateral relations between the two countries, underlining the need to strengthen cooperation in the scientific, economic, commercial and educational fields, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss a number of current international issues and the situation in Palestine.

In this context, the Iranian Foreign Minister praised the initiatives and positions adopted by our country at national and international level on this issue, as well as the evacuation to Tunisia of patients and injured people from Palestine, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

For his part, the Minister reiterated Tunisia's unfailing support for the Palestinian people, and stressed the need for an immediate and lasting ceasefire.
