Tunisian FM met with his Libyan and Mauritanian Counterparts in Barcelona

On the sidelines of his participation in the Eighth Ministerial Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona, on November 26-27, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, held separate talks with the Libyan Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Al-Taher Al-Baour, and the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

The regional state of affairs and bilateral relations took central stage in both meetings, along with the exchange of views about the situation in the Middle East and the need to secure a lasting ceasefire in Palestinian territories.

Emphasis was also laid on the necessity of enforcing the international humanitarian law and channeling urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and supporting their efforts to recover their legitimate rights, the Ministry added.
