Tunisian FM received the Ambassadors of Switzerland and Austria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Mr. Nabil Ammar received today March 28, 2023, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassadors of Switzerland and Austria to Tunisia.

The Ambassador of Switzerland to Tunisia, Mr. Jospef Renglli, congratulated the Minister for his appointment at this new position.

The meeting dealt with the excellent level of the existing bilateral relations and the fruitful cooperation between the two countries and the potential for its reinforcement, particularly in the field of Swiss investments in Tunisia, for the benefit of both sides.

The Swiss Ambassador also emphasized the importance his country attaches to the relations of friendship and cooperation with Tunisia, as testified by the cooperation program for the period 2021-2024, highlighting the willingness of Switzerland to carry on supporting Tunisia within the future plans.

Later on, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received the Ambassador of Austria to Tunisia, Mrs. Ulla KRAUSS-NUSSBAUMER, who congratulated him for his recent appointment by the President of the Republic.

The meeting dealt with the common wish to give a new impulse to the bilateral relations in order to better meet the aspirations of both countries, highlighting in this regard the existing opportunities for cooperation especially in the fields of renewable energy and culture.

The Austrian Ambassador also praised the longstanding ties with Tunisia, characterized by mutual respect, and she expressed her determination to work forward to develop these relations for the common interest of the two friendly countries.
