The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Mr. Othman Jerandi met today, Friday, November 18, 2022, in Djerba, with the Secretary General of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) Mrs. Louise Mushikiwabo.

During this meeting the Minister affirmed that Tunisia is perfectly ready to host the 18^th Francophonie Summit in Djerba, the Francophonie Ministerial Conference and the 4th Francophonie Business Forum.

Tunisia has taken all measures and arrangements to ensure that the Summit proceeds in the best conditions, ​​​​​​he added according to a press release issued on Thursday by the Ministry.

For her part, the Secretary General of the OIF expressed her deep satisfaction at the good organization of preparations for the Summit and the side events.

The confirmation of the participation senior officials in this major event will undoubtedly help achieve its goals, she considered.

She also praised the success of the Francophonie village, which opened on November 13 bringing together diverse cultures in one space, in attracting such a large number of visitors.
