Tunisian Foreign Minister receives letter from his American counterpart
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, received today, Friday, the US Ambassador to Tunisia Joey Hood, who handed him a letter from his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken.
This message comes in response to the letter sent by Ammar to his counterparts in various countries through which he stressed the need to halt the assault against Palestinians and to recover their inalienable rights and establish their independent state, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
During this meeting, the Tunisian Minister reiterated Tunisia's firm position amid the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and aggression against the Palestinian people
Ammar called for ending the genocide in the enclave, delivering relief to Gazans and lifting the unjust siege imposed on them, added the Ministry.
Despite the two countries' different standpoints regarding the Palestinian cause and the war in Gaza, an agreement was reached to continue boosting bilateral cooperation in various fields and consolidate the historical ties biding the two nations which date back to more than two hundred years.
