
Tunisian Head of Government had several meetings in Davos
During his participation in the 54th World Economic Forum "Davos 2024" to be held from 16 to 18 January, in Switzerland, the Tunisian Head of Government, Ahmed Hachani, met with representatives of various countries and international financial institutions, stated the Tunisian Government.
Hachani had discussions with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, the President of the African Development Bank, Aude Renault, and the Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area, Wamkele Mene.
These meetings were an occasion where the Tunisian Head of Government shed light on the on the ways to finance the development path in Tunisia, especially in the realm of social development. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing financial and technical cooperation. Additionally, he addressed the various obstacles facing Tunisia, particularly in public finance due to global geopolitical disturbances., according to the same source.
Representatives of international financial institutions affirmed their commitment to continue supporting Tunisia to help it achieve economic recovery, urging the government to enact further reforms.
Furthermore, Al-Hashani also discussed with the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to further develop it, added the Tunisian Government.
