
Tunisian Head of Government Meets Chinese Vice Premier in Beijing
On September 3, 2024, Tunisian Head of Government, Kamel Madouri, met with Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang in Beijing.
Madouri praised China's organization of the 2024 China-Africa Cooperation Forum and emphasized Tunisia's commitment to its success. He highlighted Tunisia's strategic location as a gateway to Africa, particularly for joint projects in electric vehicle manufacturing, stated the Tunisian Government.
Vice Premier Ding commended the recent visit by Tunisian President, Kais Saied, and reaffirmed China's support for Tunisia's development. He emphasized China's interest in completing key projects in Tunisia, including infrastructure and healthcare, and expressed a desire to increase imports of Tunisian products while boosting cooperation in education, culture, and tourism.
