The Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia -Lundi 24 Juin 2024 - 16:57

The Tunisian President, Kais Saied, asserted today, Monday, June 24, 2024, during his supervision of the ceremony commemorating the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the National Army, that Tunisia will never accept the presence of foreign military bases on its soil, according to a statement by the Tunisian Presidency.

The Tunisian President also emphasized that Tunisia will never deviate from this stance, explaining that while Tunisia is open to cooperation and the exchange of experiences and expertise, which is a common practice among all nations, it will not tolerate even a single grain of sand, a drop of water, or a breath of air being outside the full sovereignty of the Tunisian state.

President Saied stated, "We all strive to make our beloved country resilient against any threats. We want Tunisia to stand tall and proud in every forum and under every sky," according to the same source.
