
Tunisian-Turkish Investment and Business Meeting: Fostering Investment and Partnerships
On June 25, 2024, the Tunisian-Turkish Investment and Business Meeting was held at the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts.
This event was attended by Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development Kalthoum Ben Rajab, Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and business leaders from both countries.
Minister Ben Rajab emphasized the importance of institutionalizing the business forum to ensure concrete outcomes, especially regarding Turkish investments in Tunisia and partnerships between private sectors.
She called for increased Turkish investment in key sectors such as steel, textiles, leather, food industries, wooden panels, and tourism boats.
Minister Bolat highlighted Tunisia as a strategic partner for Turkiye, offering secure investment opportunities and access to African and European markets.
Business leaders from both countries agreed on the need to enhance investments, trade exchanges, and remove obstacles to achieve mutual goals.
