An evacuation operation for Tunisians from the stricken areas in Türkiye
The Tunisian Embassy in Ankara said in a statement that it will initiate the evacuation of Tunisian nationals from the disaster-stricken areas in southern Türkiye.
The evacuation operations will relocate Tunisians to Istanbul before their eventual return to Tunisia.
The Embassy urged Tunisian residents in these areas to apply for evacuation. They are required to submit a completed application, including the full name, date and place of birth, Tunisian passport number and date of issue, current residence in Türkiye, telephone number, and, if applicable, the number of children and their names and passport information. The application should be sent via WhatsApp to the SOS TUNISIE group.
Applicants can deliver their request starting February 11, 2023 at 9:00 am to the social attaché at the Consulate General of Tunisia in Istanbul, located at the designated collection point in Adana. This will enable the Embassy in Ankara to compile a comprehensive list of names and finalize the procedures for transferring Tunisians from Adana to Istanbul and then back to Tunisia, according to the same source.
