The Presidential Decree No. 506 calling upon voters to vote in a referendum on a new draft constitution for the Republic on Monday, July 25, 2022 for Tunisian citizens at home and from July 23 to 25 for citizens abroad, was issued on Wednesday, 25 May, 2022, in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic.

Voters will answer "yes" or "no" to the question "Do you approve the draft of the new Constitution of the Tunisian Republic?

According to the presidential decree, the vote will start at 6 a.m. and continue until 10 p.m..

Besides, the decree n°2022-32 on exceptional measures relating to the referendum of July 25, 2022, was published in the same issue of the JORT.

Article 1 of this decree provides that the draft of the new Constitution of the Tunisian Republic will be published by presidential decree within a period not exceeding June 30, 2022.

According to this decree, the provisions of the Organic Law No. 2014-16 of May 26, 2014, on elections and referendums shall apply to the referendum of July 25, 2022.
