The bodies of six irregular immigrants were recovered by coastguards in the central and coastal regions Thursday, the National Guard spokesman Houssem Jbebli said on Friday.

He added that "six irregular immigration operations were thwarted and 107 migrants including 85 of different nationalities were rescued."

In addition, the National Guard units in Sfax and Mahdia have stopped five individuals preparing "to illegally cross the sea borders."
