The President Kais Saied received today, Monday, June 20, 2022, the Head of the National Consultative Commission for a New Republic, Sadok Belaid, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia.

Sadok Belaid presented to the Head of State a draft from the new constitution which was prepared by the National Consultative Commission for a New Republic.

This meeting represented an opportunity to deliberate on a number of new concepts and ideas, as well as to discuss the course of the dialogue in the past period and the exchange of multiple points of view that it witnessed.

On this occasion, the President of the Republic stressed that the draft constitution is not final and that some of its chapters are subject to review and further reflection.
