The units of the National Guard thwarted, on January 07 and 08, 2023, eight operations to cross the maritime borders by stealth and rescued 305 irregular immigrants of sub-Saharan nationalities after their boat sank at sea, according to a spokesman for the National Guard.

The same source added that  the General Administration of the National Guard seeks to reduce the phenomenon of irregular immigration and confront gangs that are active in this field and within this framework.
