The Tunisian Ministry of Health stated that the Minister, Mr. Ali Mrabet, met yesterday evening, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the ministry, with the Minister of Health in the Republic of Niger, Mr. Idi Illiassou Mainassara, who is on a working visit to Tunisia.

During the meeting, Mr. Mrabet highlighted the level of health cooperation between the both countries in several areas, especially training and medical tourism.

He also provided his Nigerien counterpart with an overview of the most important national strategies for the vaccine manufacturing project, improving the quality of health services and controlling advanced medical and surgical technologies.

For his part, the Nigerien Minister of Health expressed his admiration for the Tunisian medical successes, stressing that Tunisia remains the first destination for Nigerien patients and that the existing cooperation between the two sides will continue to benefit from the Tunisian experience, especially in the sectors of drug manufacturing, cardiovascular medicine and surgery, and the digitization of health.

After that, the Minister of Health accompanied his counterpart from Niger to the Shoc Room in the Ministry of Health to inform him of the Tunisian experience in the field of operational coordination for health.
