
Tunisia, Cameroon: agreement on developing touristic cooperation
The Tunisian Ministry of Tourism stated that the Minister Mr. Mohamed El Moez Belhoussein received, today, March 27, 2023, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Tunisia, Mr. Samuel Djobo.
The meeting was an occasion to overview the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to further develop it in the field of tourism.
The both sides agreed to enhance the touristic cooperation in many ways such as:
- benefiting from the Tunisian experience by the Cameroonian side to create a special school for training in the professions of tourism with the establishment of an applied training hostel.
- Developing medical tourism in Tunisia.
- Developing sports tourism by inviting the Cameroonian national team and clubs in various sports to carry out their preparatory training in Tunisia.
- Revitalizing the bilateral cooperation agreement between the two countries and including new areas of cooperation in the sectors of tourism and traditional industries.
- Organizing the fifth session of the joint committee soon in Cameroon and signing the updated agreement.
- Considering the possibility of accelerating the opening of a direct air line between Tunisia and Cameroon, which contributes to strengthening relations between the two countries and facilitating the movement of citizens of the two countries in both directions.
