Yesterday, Monday, May 16, 2022, the Tunisian Minister of Environment, Mrs. Leila Chikhaoui, received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Tunisia, Mr.Ihab Mostafa Fahmy, at the Ministry headquarters.

This meeting focused on valuing Tunisian-Egyptian relations and supporting means of cooperation and partnership in the environmental field.

The Tunisian Minister expressed her intention to strengthen this partnership by signing an Executive Program for Cooperation for the years 2022-2024.

From his part, the Egyptian Ambassador gave an overview of the Egyptian preparations for holding the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Climate Change and the Egyptian priorities for this conference.

The two parties agreed to move forward in order to implement fruitful environmental cooperation activities, according to a statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Environment.
