
Tunisia expresses readiness to foster cooperation with countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan
Mounir Ben Rjiba, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, has affirmed Tunisia's eagerness to actively pursue collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening ties with Central Asian nations and the Republic of Azerbaijan. This commitment is particularly focused on advancing cooperation in key sectors such as economy, science, and technology.
Addressing the 3rd Session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan, held in Doha on Tuesday, Ben Rjiba emphasized the importance of leveraging natural and human resources to advance the mutual interests of the regions' countries and populations.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Tunisia reiterated its steadfast support for the Palestinian people's quest to reclaim their rights and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. Ben Rjiba also urged the international community to fulfill its responsibility in securing a ceasefire in Gaza and expediting the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Secretary of State engaged in bilateral meetings with several ministers and delegation heads representing participating countries.
