
Tunisia hosts 1st Africa-France Forum on Ecological and Energy Transition
The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME in french) and Business France (French Government Agency) are holding next September 27-29 in Tunis the First Africa-France Forum on Ecological and Energy Transition, according to the French embassy in Tunisia. This will be with the support of Scheiner Electric.
"In the run-up to the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and the Francophonie Summit in Djerba, this event offers the opportunity for policy makers, local authorities, entrepreneurs, customers and financial institutions to meet and exchange about ecological transition."
Representatives of eight countries, namely Tunisia, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Senegal, Egypt, Libya and France, will focus on challenges and solutions in areas of environment, energy transition and the sustainable city.
The agenda of the forum, which will be attended by fifty French enterprises, includes lectures on the protection of environment, access to water, the development of renewables, the strengthening of circular economy and the reduction of carbon emissions.
Side events are also scheduled, mainly B2B meetings and presentations of projects, programs, French and Tunisian startups and demonstrations involving all partners.
The French embassy urged Tunisian enterprises "to participate in this event to explore synergies and develop projects with French and African partners in a bid to achieve the objectives of ecological and energy transition."
