The Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy stated that the Minister Mrs. Naila Nouira Gonji

received today, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, the Ambassador of Japan to Tunisia, Mr. Takeshi Osuga.

During the meeting, the outputs of the TICAD 8, especially in the sectors under the supervision of the Ministry, were discussed.

The Minister praised the bonds of friendship and distinguished economic cooperation between the two countries, calling for further expansion of Japanese investments, especially in the fields of the automobile industry and its components.

She also appreciated the efforts of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which deals with the quality and productivity management unit in the ministry within the framework of Tunisian-Japanese technical cooperation in the field of improving quality and productivity through the "Kaizan" or continuous improvement program, in addition to providing technical support to industrial enterprises.

For his part, the Japanese A hmbassador affirmed his country's keenness to follow up the outputs of the TICAD 8 demonstration and to encourage Japanese investors to establish new projects in our country due to the available capabilities and human energies.

They also discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of renewable energies and green hydrogen.
