
Tunisia Participates in the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism
The Tunisia Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mohamed Moez Belhassine, participated in the 26th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism and the 33rd session of its Executive Office, held in Doha on December 13 and 14, 2023.
During his interventions, the Tunisian Minister affirmed Tunisia's continuous commitment to contribute to joint Arab efforts to promote intra-Arab tourism and enhance its status. He emphasized the importance of further coordination to support various Arab initiatives aimed at establishing a prominent position for Arab tourism globally, considering its significant role in the development of economic, social, and cultural dimensions, according to a statement by The Tunisian Tourism Ministry.
The Tunisian Minister also highlighted the decisions taken by the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism during the meeting to support the Palestinian economy in the field of tourism.
It is worth noting that, on this occasion, the participating Arab Tourism Ministers met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Tunisian Minister met with several of his Arab counterparts, discussing ways to enhance joint Arab cooperation and support intra-Arab tourism. He reiterated Tunisia's supportive stance on the Palestinian cause and called for an immediate end to the oppressive aggression in Gaza, added the Tunisian Tourism Ministry.
