Tunisia Sends 1,609 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza in Solidarity Mission
A Tunisian vessel carrying 1,609 tonnes of medical and humanitarian aid will depart from the Port of Rades on Monday at 2pm, heading towards Egypt and then Gaza. This mission is part of an initiative to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to Tunisian Red Crescent spokesperson Boutheina Gregba.
The "humanitarian boat" is loaded with 1,609 tonnes of medical and food supplies, including 2 ambulances, 4 mobile basic healthcare units, 19 water tanks, a dialysis unit, medicines, and other food aid, as reported by TAP.
The ship is scheduled to dock at Port Said next Thursday. From there, the humanitarian aid will be transported by trucks to Gaza via the Rafah border crossing, in coordination with Egyptian authorities and the Egyptian Red Crescent.
