
Tunisia, UN: agreement to focus on the government's priorities in several areas
The Tunisian Government stated that the Head of Government Mrs. Najla Bouden received yesterday morning, at the Kasbah Palace, the UN Resident Coordinator and Representative in Tunisia Mr.Arnaud Péral, UN Resident Coordinator and Representative in Tunisia.
The meeting was an occasion to stress the need to coordinate efforts to adapt the organization's development program for Tunisia in the next three years to the new National Development Plan 2023-2025.
In this context, the Head of Government called for the development programs proposed for Tunisia to be modified in order to be focused on the government's priorities in several areas, including the social and solidarity economy, the empowerment of women and youth, business creation and regular migration.
Mrs. Bouden also reviewed the reforms undertaken in the economic, political and social fields and reiterated the government's commitment to continue on the path of reform, despite the difficulties it faces.
For his part, the UN official welcomed the Head of Government’s proposal to coordinate with the various structures involved on the priorities to be taken into account, and he expressed the UN's readiness to support Tunisia in its reform process.
