The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Nabil Ammar received on Monday, February 27, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Tunisia André Parant.

The meeting was an occasion to point out the need to preserve and foster the friendship and cooperation ties binding the two countries.

In a tweet on Tuesday on his personal account, the French diplomat said that this meeting had been an opportunity to recall the importance of the partnership between the two countries, as well as the urgency to push towards an agreement between Tunisia and the International Monetary Fund, affirming that France supports this agreement.

Parant further reasserted in the same tweet, his country's commitment to the respect of rights and freedoms.
