Tunisian Ministry of Health Confirms No Cases of Monkeypox Detected

On Thursday, August 15, 2024, the Tunisian Ministry of Health announced that no cases of monkeypox have been recorded in the country, whether locally or from abroad.

This statement follows the World Health Organization’s declaration of monkeypox as an international emergency.

The Ministry emphasized that all necessary measures have been taken to strengthen health monitoring and vigilance, particularly at border crossings. They assured that all health institutions under their supervision are fully prepared to prevent the entry of the virus into Tunisia and are ready to implement all necessary precautionary measures at both national and regional levels in response to any developments.
